Visit the Toniná Archeological Site

These ruins are located 8 miles east of Ocosingo, on a hill that the Mayans transformed into a vertical city. This is where its inhabitants created an artificial mountain covered with stairways and terraces. Temples, palaces and residences were connected via a labyrinth of steps, passages, corridors, and small patios distributed across seven enormous platforms.
