Take a Stroll Through the Modern Angelópolis

The best views of the city.

Estrella de Puebla

To the south of the city is one of Puebla’s most modern areas, with many recreational spaces. Check out the shopping mall, designed by architect Sordo Madaleno, or visit Parque Lineal, with raised bridges and bike paths that lead to the Jardín del Arte, a fenced off 32-acre art and recreational area. This is also home to the Estrella de Puebla, an enormous 262-foot tall observation wheel (the tallest in Latin America).

If you follow the bike route, you’ll come to Ecoparque Metropolitano, which has a garden with over 500 different plant species and a section with 11 works of modern art. On weekends, they hold movie showings and environmental education workshops. Right by here there’s Paseo del Río Atoyac. At 3 miles long, it’s a river walk makes for a great stroll or bicycle ride.
