
Escape to Lagunas de Chacahua National Park
One of Mexico’s largest mangrove forests, Lagunas de Chacahua was declared a National Park for its diverse plant and animal life.

The park encompasses both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems inhabited by around 140 species of birds, 23 kinds of reptiles, and 20 types of mammals. There are several different entrances, but most people use the dock in the town of El Zapolitano.
