Visit the Bakeries

If you go to Bustamante, you have to try their bakery products. There are six main bakeries, each one making its signature products. The bread is made with wheat flour, unrefined piloncillo sugar, anise, cinnamon, nuts, and cocoa powder. The most popular treats are the turnovers, called empanadas; turcos, a roll stuffed with pork; and hojarascas, crumbly cookies.
