Take the Zapata Route

On this route you’ll see where revolutionary Emiliano Zapata was born, fought, and died. There’s the Casa Museo de Emiliano Zapata in Anenecuilco, where he was born; Tlaltizapán, the town where he set up his headquarters and which is now home to the Revolution Museum; Hacienda de Chinameca, where Zapata was killed, and finally Cuautla, where the revolutionary general’s remains are found today.
