Check Out Lagunas de Zempoala

This “place of many waters” is comprised of seven lakes. The combined effect with the surrounding pine trees, sacred firs, and oak trees instills an appreciation of nature and the peace of the landscapes. If you come to the park on the weekend, make the most of the time by climbing the nearby mountain peaks, camping, or boating along with some of the water sports available here.

What You Should Know

On your way, be sure to stop and try the cecina (jerked beef) and wonderful quesadillas at Tres Marías. You’ll also find a food area and campgrounds at the lakes (with 24-hour surveillance).
