Mazatlán Aquarium

Mazatlán’s aquarium is a modern complex of large tanks containing more than 200 species from around the world. The collection includes piranhas, octopuses, sea lions, and birds. In addition to admiring the tanks, you shouldn’t miss the scuba diving exhibits where you can learn about how to communicate underwater, and the sea lion, birds, and predatory animals shows. A visit to the amphibian house is also worth the visit—it is the only one of its kind in Latin America—and so is the botanical garden presenting plants from the region and other parts of the world.
