Houses with Vaulted Roofs
It is interesting to walk through Tecozautla’s streets and spot the buildings with thick walls and vaulted roofs. They look like chapels, but they are houses. However, no one really knows why they were made this way. Some think that they may have been granaries or small churches because several of them bear inscriptions and reliefs like those in churches. If you head to 38 Mina street, you will find one of the most eye-catching examples—supposedly it was the town’s first church.
