This former convent is one of the oldest in Atlixco. Today, the former quarters of the Discalced Carmelites are home to two museums. The first is the Museo de las Culturas del Valle de Atlixco, exhibiting pre-Hispanic artifacts pertaining to the various regions of the surrounding Atlixco Valley. It also features a room devoted to the Huey Atlixcáyotl Festival, displaying the clothing used during the festival.
