Islands and Beaches

Its beaches and many islands are a few of the port’s main attractions. The most famous island is Isla de Piedra, in Mazatlán’s old town. You can get there by crossing the Canal de Navegación waterway or from the Zona Dorada area. This zone is home to tourist developments such as Conjunto Valentinos with its Mediterranean air and Playa Gaviotas, a beach known for its water sports. Mazatlán boasts 15 miles of beaches, so it is not hard to find one for swimming and soaking up the sunsets.
