Miguel Hidalgo Market

This Mexican market is in Latin America’s northeast corner. Since 1995 it has been the ideal place in Tijuana to find fresh produce from the entire region. Its passageways lead to stalls that offer rice bread, prickly pear cheese, coyote de piloncillo (brown sugar pastry) and traditional sweets; others offer herbal medicines, spices, dates, fruit, vegetables and an enormous variety of dried chilies.
