On your next visit to Puebla City, be sure to check out the International Museum of the Baroque, the first interactive museum in the world completely devoted to looking at classic baroque. The contemporary building is the work of Pritzker Architecture Prize-winner Toyo Ito. It features eight permanent exhibition galleries that look at architecture, performing arts, visual arts, literature, and science.
The space is in itself a work of art. Lose yourself in its large white walls and take a rest in the central courtyard, gardens, or reflective ponds. After your break, come back to find 360-degree projections in 4K resolution, touch screens, high-resolution audio, and digital amphitheaters. Also, be sure to check out the model of the city of Puebla as it was in 1754.
