A minimalist building made of white concrete and marble from Veracruz houses this museum presenting the Fundación Jumex’s contemporary art collection, regarded as one of Latin America’s best collections.
The museum’s design was conceived of by David Chipperfield, a British architect. It has a sawtooth roof, like those of factories. Its openings allow daylight to enter, better illuminating what is on display inside—works by Thomas Ruff, Donald Judd, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, and Fred Sandback. You can also see pieces by Mexicans Gabriel Orozco and urbanist and architect Eduardo Terrazas.
