Museums and Cultural Centers
Start your tour at Casa de la Cultura de Tijuana, found inside one of the city’s oldest buildings in neoclassical architecture. Here there is a library and art gallery to enjoy. The Centro Cultural Tijuana (known as CECUT or “La Bola”—”the Ball”) is a captivating architectural work by Pedro Ramírez Vázquez (who was also responsible for the Museo Nacional de Antropología) and Manuel Rosen Morrison. Here, there are film projections and the permanent exhibition of the Museo de las Californias.
Finally, children and adults alike are sure to be entertained by the Museo de Cera (Wax Musuem) with famous faces from politics, history and entertainment, as well as the Museo Interactivo Tijuana El Trompo, an interactive science and technology museum.
