San Juan and Santa María de Guadalupe Parish Church

Parroquia de San Juan Evangelista y Santa María de Guadalupe

Details in gold, stained-glass windows, a dome and finely-decorated ceilings are elements of the beauty you will find inside this place, built in stone.

Facing the Plaza Valentín Gomez Farías is a fence with latticework that serves as an atrium wall, which has a small garden with wooden benches and tall pine trees.

The inside has been marvelously preserved; the splendid candelabrums stand out, as well as the decoration of the arches, dome, chancel and polychrome stained-glass windows that depict how the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego.

At the back, you will see a neoclassical altar with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, and a golden Christ.
