San Pedro Tlaquepaque Parish Church

With a mix of Byzantine, baroque, and Roman styles, the church was built by Franciscan monks and was designated the parish church in 1845. It’s one of the spiritual pillars of San Pedro Tlaquepaque. Plazoleta de San Papa Juan Pablo II is the name of the square it faces. A few steps away, there’s a sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Solitude (Santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad), dating from the 18th century. It’s a Lateran Basilica. Inside, it contains oil works by famous painters as well as polychrome sculptures.
