Señor de Zelontla Church

This 19th-century church honors Jesus, the Good Shepard, who is represented by the Señor de Zelontla figure. This image’s history is very special. Accounts say that it was sent from Spain to Mexico City. But, when it passed through this town, it was impossible to move it further. Ever since, the townspeople have adopted it as their protector.
