Expiatory Temple of León

This beautiful church, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, was built thanks to donations from the faithful. The architect Luis G. Olvera was in charge of the building project, which resulted in a neo-gothic style with modern elements. It has more than 20 altars and a modern house for spiritual exercises. In the basement, you will find catacombs that form a labyrinth of chapels and alleyways that contain close to 1,900 crypts.
