International Marimba Player Festival
For over 10 years, during the first few days of October, important marimba players from Mexico and from around the world come together for five days to share the tradition, execution, sound and academic aspects of marimba. There are conferences, classes and artistic presentations. As well as Chiapa de Corzo, other cities like San Cristóbal de las Casas, Tuxtla Gutiérrez and Venustiano Carranza also take part in the festival.
