What is GFNY?

Gran Fondo NY is a personal endurance challenge, facing you off against others, the clock, and yourself. The cycling competition is repeated in several countries around the world. More than 3,000 cyclists from 55 countries come to Cozumel to participate in the event held here every November.

A bike race that is more than 100 kilometers long is known as Gran Fondo. They are also known as bicycle tourist challenges. These are cycling events attracting ever more athletes who challenge themselves in these types of events while seizing the chance to travel to different destinations as they train.

Gran Fondo NY Cozumel route

The Cozumel event is one of three held in Mexico. It features sweeping views and challenging winds. There are two distances to choose from: Long Course, covering 160 kilometers (99 miles) and two laps around the island of Cozumel, and the Medium Course, running 80 kilometers (50 miles) or one lap around the island. No matter which course you choose, you will be mesmerized by the gorgeous beaches and ocean views that Cozumel is known for. In addition, you will enjoy the warm support that locals give to this remarkable sporting event.
