Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe 

December 12 is Mexico’s patron saint’s day. Thousands of pilgrims journey to the Basílica de Guadalupe on trucks, bicycles, and by foot from all corners of the country. At 12:00 midnight, enormous bouquets of flowers are blessed and passed out among the faithful in the Bendición de las Rosas (Blessing of the Roses).
