Piñata Festival

If you can’t make it in March, then come in December. It’s not as hot, and all month long there’s a piñata contest in conjunction with the Piñata Festival in the neighboring town of Acolman. As part of the event they hold posadas (traditional Christmas parties), musical performances, horse races, sporting tournaments, and local food fairs.
