The Festival Medieval Guanajuato (Guanajuato Medieval Festival) has been celebrated since 2004 in the esplanade of the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, in the city center, during the second week of Easter. Here you can see displays of bow and arrow skills, jousting, gypsy dances, circus acts, sword fights and old music ensembles. Let yourself be transported back to the Middle Ages!

Don’t miss the medieval market, where you can find old handicrafts, shields, and period costumes, as well as other curiosities.
