Shop for Handicrafts

Tlaxcala’s handicrafts are beautiful. You can find burnished, glazed, oxidation, natural, artistic, and pre-Hispanic ceramics (certified copies of pieces). There is also talavera earthenware and pepenado embroidery work (tiny black and red stitches on cotton cloth, especially for blouses). Plus, golden canutillo embroidery only done by women of the region, used to fashion robes for virgins and saints. Wood carvers produce carnival masks and religious sculptures. As you can see, there is a lot to choose from when picking something to take home.
