Places offering organic products are proliferating in Mexico, and San Miguel de Allende is no exception. In this destination, you will find small markets that promote fair trade and that sell food and other ecological products.
The Tianguis Orgánico has a variety of products, fruits and vegetables from the region’s cultivators. It also has food stalls where you can try dishes made with fresh products and enjoy an atmosphere with music and open-air shows. We recommend you try a cheese quiche for breakfast or enjoy some delicious quesadillas de mole de conejo (quesadillas with rabbit in mole sauce) at one of the communal tables.
There is also the Mercado TOSMA, ideal for buying fresh vegetables, and if you’re hungry, you can eat right then and there: they offer gourmet sandwiches and tamales, and even organic tacos and gorditas (yes, you read that correctly).
