Head Out to Santa María Tonantzintla
A few miles from Cholula there’s an example of 18th-century indigenous baroque. It’s the Templo de Santa María Tonantzintla. The inside of this church is a universe of multi-colored plaster works of brown-skinned angels, fruits, and stalks of corn.
