Seventeen miles from Veracruz, you will find the “Vera Cruz Vieja”, where the city was originally established. These are some of the places you can visit in La Antigua: the House of Hernán Cortés, constructed in the Andalusian tradition of that era, the Ermita del Rosario, a 16th-century church (the first in continental America) and the Edificio del Cabildo building, the first of its kind erected in New Spain.
