Head down the Wine and Cheese Route

Start this route for the senses at Viñedos La Redonda (8.7 miles on the Tequisquiapan-Ezequiel Montes road). You’ll feel like you’re in a movie as you sip your glass of wine while looking out over the vineyards or take part in a tasting of its Nosotros, La Redonda, Orlandi, Sierra Gorda, and Sierra Luna wines at the Trattoria Campestre restaurant. You can also watch how they make wine and ask the expert anything you want. Continue down the road to Finca Sala Vivé, which is famous for its Viña Doña Dolores and Sala Vivé sparkling wines. Check out Quesos Vai. At this dairy, you’ll learn about the animals and how they’re reared, the cheese making and aging process (in an underground cellar), and have the chance to do a tasting.
