Sayulita’s beaches are recognized as some of the best for surfing and learning to surf. On its beaches you can find instructors to help you, but if you want to learn with a national champion, look for Kalle Carranza in Lunazul Surf School & Shop. Surfing is possible year-round, although the best season is from December to April. You can also watch a number of surfing tournaments—there is a Children and Young People’s Tournament, Open Surf Tournament, Pacific Music Festival, Annual Longboard and Paddle Board Tournament, and more.
