The wide variety of galleries, the cosmopolitan atmosphere, and the large number of expats living here have made Puerto Vallarta a lightning rod for creators and bohemian types.

On Morelos Street, there’s Galería Uno, where you’ll feel that creative vibe. There, you can see and purchase the most recent works by contemporary artists from around the world. These gallery walls have displayed works by artists such as Vladimir Cora, Carlos Cuevas, and Paloma Mestre, among others.

Galería Dante is one of the largest art venues in Puerto Vallarta. Claire and Joe Guarniere were inspired by the romance of Dante Alighieri and his beloved Beatrice in naming this must-see gallery. Here, they have exhibited over 50 artists, 90 percent of whom are of Mexican origin. Galería Dante is located in a colonial-style mansion with eight gallery rooms and a gorgeous central courtyard.

Galería Corona stands out for its bronze and wood sculptures and terracotta figures. It also has an incredible painting collection. Most of the works are by artists from Guadalajara and Mexico City.

If you’re looking for more than sculptures, paintings, or lithographs, Galería Vallarta is for you. It has a renowned collection of engravings, ceramics, and jewelry. It’s a collector’s dream. There are very special articles, posters, and handicrafts from throughout Mexico.
