Cathedral of Morelia
Construction on Morelia’s cathedral finished in 1744 after a fire burned down the first one. Its restrained baroque style is attractively ornamented with high bell towers, sets of carved panels, cornices, and pilasters instead of columns.
The interior is neoclassical in style. Its most eye-catching features include a silver baldachin in the main altar and an enormous pipe organ.
