Ixtlán

Ixtlán de Juárez is 6 miles from the Magical Town of Capulálpam, Oaxaca. It boasts magnificent, sweeping views of rivers and cloud forests. With its ornate altarpieces, Iglesia de Santo Tomás Apóstol, a baroque, 18th-century church dedicated to Saint Thomas the Apostle, is a main attraction. Former President Benito Juárez was baptized here in 1806.
