Museum of Underwater Archeology

On the coast of this island with its beautiful landscapes, the lighthouse has granted some of its space to the Museum of Underwater Archeology. Here you will find the remains of sunken boats, photographs of underwater discoveries, canons, and nautical instruments found beneath the waters of Campeche. As you explore the museum you will learn about the island’s history, the lighthouse route, and the plant and animal species that have made this island their home. If you go all the way to the top of the viewing tower, you will see Isla Aguada and the Laguna de Términos in all their splendor.
