Señor del Tepozán Temple and Former Monastery
This colorful church stands in marked contrast with the stern cloister, occupied by Franciscan monks.
It was erected in the beginnings of the 17th century and features some peculiar architectural characteristics for the age. There are multi-level floors, small cells, and tight doorways. It carries the name of the miraculous Christ found in a tepozol tree. The former convent now holds old religious objects and a space exhibiting information on the small African population in the state and its culture.
