Estadio de los Sultanes de Monterrey

If you are a baseball fan, you have to see the local team. Estadio de Béisbol Monterrey stadium has the best infrastructure in all the Liga Mexicana and Latin American leagues. It has 22,061 seats.

The stadium was inaugurated July 13, 1990 and has seen the Sultanes team crowned champions four of the nine times in its history: 1991, 1995, 1996 and 2007.

Moreover, this has been the location for many concerts, hosting musicians such as Sting, Caifanes, El Tri, Gustavo Cerati, Selena, Juan Gabriel, Joaquín Sabina, Julian Álvarez and more. Many music festivals have also been held here.

Visiting the home of the Sultanes is a unique opportunity to enjoy the ambiance during one of their games. Two hours before the game starts, the Hora Feliz (happy hour) starts on one of the Palacio Sultán’s esplanades. There is 20-pesos beer and good music to get things going. Likewise, when the game is over, various musical groups play live and it becomes a dance floor.
