Santo Domingo de Guzmán Celebration

This is the region’s most representative celebration. These festivities in honor of Saint Dominic, the town’s patron saint, are celebrated from the end of July until the first few days of August, with traditional music and dance. This is one of Palenque’s oldest and most important festivals, established in 1568 to commemorate the first anniversary of the town’s founding.
