Roam Bosque and Zoológico de Aragón

For more than 50 years, this park with woods and a zoo has been one of the north of Mexico City’s most important green spaces.

The almost 200 hectares of forest are encircled by a running trail that stretches over 3 miles. There is a skate park with almost 7,000 square feet of bowls. Its huge size allows 400 intermediate and expert skaters to have fun together. BMX bikers can ride through pipes, down stairs, over manual pads, and across flat ground. The skating rink is open to skateboards, bikes, roller skates, roller blades, and scooters.

In the woods are areas for open air activities—yoga, relaxing massages, and tai chi are a few of the activities for senior citizens. And the area around the lake is a special spot. This is the largest artificial body of water in Mexico City, holding four islets that shelter resident and migratory birds.

Sports fans can enjoy two swimming pools, soccer fields, hand-pelota courts, racquetball courts, and multiple use areas. Make time to visit the zoo, holding 120 different species of Mexican animals. The butterfly garden is also worth popping into.
