Visit the Crafting Traditional Mexican Silverwork Workshop
Visit the workshop and admire the exquisite legacy that Eva inherited.

Just outside downtown, under Tlaxco’s bright sky, sits Eva Martínez’s workshop. She is a talented but little-known artist. This woman, fervently devoted to the past and a staunch enemy of oblivion, has dedicated her life to rescuing antique jewelry and has turned her home into a temple to memory.
Founded in 1985, this spot focuses on re-creating old Mexican jewelry from the 18th and 19th centuries. Its most acclaimed pieces include Martínez’s detailed, subtly perfect re-creation of Frida Kahlo’s earrings.
