Have Fun as a Family in the Theme Parks

parque-plaza sésamo-MTY

Family outings around this crown jewel of the North are unforgettable, especially for the littlest ones. It is home to Plaza Sésamo, filled with characters from Sesame Street. This park is divided into three parts–Villa Sésamo with a dozen rides, Acuamundo with its pools and water slides, and Isla Aventura set in a pirate world. The park also offers a dozen spaces for kids’ parties, restaurants, and snack and gift shops; and finally, there are theaters.

The suburb of Guadalupe holds Bosque Mágico, one of the North’s largest and most enjoyable parks. The big draw are its 37 rides, many of which are extreme. The King is perhaps the most popular–it is an enormous ride that spins 360 degrees vertically plus the seats themselves rotate. Sky Flyer beckons with seats swinging 131.2 feet off the ground! Barco Vikingo whirls riders seated in a boat-shaped ride.

Bioparque Estrella and Centro Recreativo y Ecológico Xenpal are two parks showing various animal species. The former lets you drive through open fields while the animals roam free. The latter is more in line with a traditional petting zoo.
