In the 19th century this was a coffee plantation, today the building’s conserved outer shell is a hotel. Mass is no longer held in the chapel, instead you will discover an interesting collection of sacred art from the 16th through to the 19th centuries. A wooden sculpture of Saint Francis of Assisi, a Christ carved out of ivory, and a painting of Juan Correa form a part of the small Santa María museum’s treasures.
