Grutas de La Palma Cave System

Tucked inside Sierra de Gomas mountain, 3.7 miles from downtown Bustamante, are Grutas de La Palma (La Palma Caves). You can tour almost 1.8 miles inside the cave and see the fanciful rock formations.

At the entrance, a stalactite known as “el tecolote” (owl) welcomes you, then visitors descend to the Salón de Baile, named for the way the space resembles a ballroom. Its rock formations have nicknames like candelabrum, wedding dress, curtain, elephant, and frozen waterfall, and more. They are remarkable!
