Santo Domingo Church

On one side of the main square you will see the church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, a small and simple building. The interior is austere but its main altar is dedicated to Saint Dominic, the town’s patron saint ever since Palenque was converted to Catholicism after the Spanish conquest. Take the opportunity while visiting to stop for a while and watch this Magical Town from the church, built on of one of the highest points of the city.
