The Oxolotán and Amatán Rivers

Río Oxolotán originates in Guatemala and owes its opaline color to the sulfurous waters that emerge from the subsoil. Río Amatán is more crystalline and collects water from the Sierra del Sur. Neither are very fast-flowing and they nourish all of the region’s communities, including the people of Tapijulapa. Why not take a swim in their crystalline waters or go on a boat trip! You will be astonished by the beautiful Tabasco landscapes you will see along the way.
