San Diego Fort Historic Museum

Although Acapulco is not famous for its museums, it does have some interesting cultural spaces. One of these is the San Diego Fort Historic Museum, a 17th-century construction designed to defend the port from pirate attacks and which today exhibits religious artifacts and everyday objects. 

A few minutes’ walk away is the Casa de la Máscara (Mask Museum) which stores a collection of close to a thousand masks.
