Where the Cañón Río La Venta begins are a series of waterfalls that cascade in different streams down its walls. To see them, you must descend more than 700 steps, but the experience is well worth the effort.
This is El Aguacero, a curtain of water, misty and dispersed, that falls all the way from the El Encanto cave. Inside is an underground river that you can explore.
In order to do this, you must find the guides from the Centro Turístico Cascada El Aguacero, which you will find to one side of the waterfall. There are bathrooms, a restaurant, and a camping area. There are also two viewpoints from where you can appreciate the beauty of the canyon and the El Ocote rainforest.
