Of Zoque (one of the ethnic groups that live in the south of Mexico) origins, Tuxtla is Chiapas’ most modern city, with shopping centers and excellent restaurants. It is the ideal starting point for visiting the state’s natural wonders and its Magical Towns such as Chiapa de Corzo, Comitán, San Cristóbal de las Casas and Palenque.
