Sample Sunday Dinner and Enjoy Marimba Nueva Esmeralda’s Music
Sundays with family are a tradition in Capulálpam. Local families sell typical dishes on the town square accompanied by the band Marimba Nueva Esmeralda’s marimba music. Dine on huaraches (corn-dough patties topped with beans and more), tlayudas (giant tortillas covered with toppings), tamales, and crispy tostadas with spicy mole sauce, and wash it all down with water- or milk-based hot chocolate, or an oat water.
