Historical Turibus Route

'Recorre Tu Historia' en Turibus

Citizens of the capital and visitors from all over can now take a new route around the city on the tourist bus, known as Turibus outings. The “Circuito Turibus History Recorre tu Historia” route will take you to emblematic historic sites around the city. It is a great experience for visitors to Mexico City who would like to know more about its culture, customs, and history.

Stops include:

  • Templo Mayor museum and archeological site
  • Museo Nacional de Arte (National Art Museum)
  • Templo de San Juan de Dios (San Juan de Dios Church)
  • Museo Franz Mayer and Museo de la Estampa (Franz Mayer Museum and Graphic Arts Museum)
  • Plaza de la República (República Square)
  • Monumento a la Revolución (Monument to the Mexican Revolution)

The double-decker bus also passes the Monumento a Cristóbal Colón (Monument to Christopher Columbus); Flechadora de la Estrella del Norte, Diana Cazadora (Archer of the North Star, Diana, Goddess of the Hunt); Museo Nacional de Antropología (National Museum of Anthropology); Monumento a la Independencia (Angel of Independence); Alameda central park; Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts); Laboratorio Arte Alameda (Alameda Art Lab); and Museo Mural Diego Rivera (Diego Rivera Mural Museum).

This gives Turibus a greater variety of routes, with the aim of spotlighting the cultural importance of the points along the circuit. It is done through the voices of the History channel, as the historic route was designed in partnership with this television network. In addition, Disney characters will narrate the visits.
