Check Out the Nt’okwä Community Museum
The ruins of an 18th-century temple are a sacred site in the Otomí culture, as they’re surrounded by corn crops
Located 20 minutes from Amealco, at this indigenous community museum you can see how the predecessors of what is today San Ildefonso Tultepec used to live. Artifacts on display include religious items from Otomí chapels, obsidian arrowheads and knives, and the remains of vessels, kitchen utensils, incense burners, pipes, and clay bead necklaces.
