What You Should Know About Casa Internacional del Escritor 

The cultural center facilities were built and adapted for this cultural project, inaugurated in 1990 by the Government of the State of Quintana Roo. With the goal of providing a space for literature enthusiasts visiting the state, it is worth noting that the Casa Internacional del Escritor is run by the Sociedad General de Escritores de México (SOGEM) and the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (CONACULTA). 

They aim to offer a comfortable retreat for writers, poets, and artists, supporting regional creators, as well as those from across the country and abroad. It serves as a comfortable retreat space for regional, national, and international writers, poets, and artists.

Located in the town of Bacalar, with ancient Mayan roots, on the shores of Seven Colors Lagoon, it has hosted significant national and international events, such as the First National Meeting of Film Writers, the First National Meeting of Film Directors, the First International Certificate Course for Writers, and more.
